Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum, a New York City Employees' Retirement System trustee, and Comptroller Bill Thompson, who serves as trustee and advisor to the pension funds, met yesterday with First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness. They discussed city pension funds investments in Northern Ireland and how the economic climate, here and abroad, is affecting investments. They also talked about what kind of impact an Obama administration will have on reviving the economy.

During this trip, First Minister Robinson and Deputy First Minister McGuinness also met with President Bush, before coming to New York to meet with New York State Comptroller Thomas Di Napoli, Mayor Bloomberg and Chief Executive of the New York Stock Exchange, Duncan Niederauer.
